Short answer: The 36 states and Union Territories in India are undergoing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in separate phases. Phase-I (Bihar) and Phase-II (12 states) are completed, while Phase-III (19 states/UTs) is active with revised draft rolls publishing in July and August 2026. Four states/UTs remain deferred.
